Hmmm.... What Reference Should I Make Today?

I've decided that from here forth I'm going to attempt to start my blogs with references. It's just a little something to make this blog more witty. No idea what will show up, but hopefully it will actually relate to what I say...

Unfortunately, I'm also starting to post every other day. Hopefully that will change as summer goes on.

Roll out those; lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer...

Gilmore Girls reference for the title today. Not too much about Gilmore Girls itself, more about the fact that it is finally summer! Despite a graduation ceremony tonight, I'm off school! YAY PARTY TIME. They day was actually marvelous and ended with a random group of friends that formed for lunch and wandering. Suprisingly, I will miss school... But I'll probably be eating my words next year.

Alright, movie review time. A day or two ago I watched Juno, and I was suprised by how much I liked it. The movie was rather simple, but still had its random quirks like a hamburger phone. I was able to follow the comedy rather well, but some of the music references were hard to catch. The music, by the way, has an odd sort of feel to it, but in some way it helps the film. I was suprised to later read that the main actress was the star of Hard Candy, an odd thriller/horror film. Still, 'twas enjoyable for its open feeling and small oddities.

It's Friday, I'm in Love

Anyone get the music reference. 'Tis by The Cure, and that's exactly what I need (cure, not love). So, despite our 8th grade field trip being today, I stay home. Horrible right? Not to mention, the whole day was spent being bored. Why is it you're bored only when something is going on?

Alright, let me explain these crazy summer goals first. The whole Umineko Goat Head thing is going to be a mascot head hand made from foam and fur. 'Twill be my first divulgence into the world of mascotting, but it seems fun. A bit of a hands arts and craft project, but it will be exciting. The general process seems simple, but it will just take a bit of time. More information later. As for the gamecube portable, it's another hands on project, but this time it's more technological. This will involve a bunch of crazy stuff, but it should be interesting. The whole goal is to take a gamecube and make it smaller, compact, and ultimately portable. As for the improv project, that is a bit more complex and is just a bit of wishful thinking. Well, there they are. I'm sure you all will hear more of them.

No matter what I say, it'll still be just a Wednesday.

Hooray for a rhyme. Well, let's see what constitutes this day as a flop... Staying home sick for half the day; A supposed to be fun talent show that my teacher took way to serious; 8th graders and there petty drama; and... the fact that I'm supposed to make a reading log (not happening).

Good news. I have another crazy summer plan. (I'm making a list soon :D) This time, to create an improv group similiar to what some other groups are doing. Planned events, crazy ideas, and maybe even a public music would be great. Now... Just to get followers. Of not only my group but of this blog. (Anyone out there :D?). Yah, I'll make a list of everything soon. Maybe they will turn into there own little blog projects!

*Throws Welcome Back Party for Myself*

Aha, I'm finally back in command! After forgetting about this old dusty place, trying to access this old dusty place, and almost giving up on this old dusty place, I'm finally back from the gave. Now, to continue this boring old blog with the start of what will be a boring old summer.

Well, 3.5 more days of school! Things are winding down at the old educational facility and now on to the long days of summer. Maybe some excitement? Perhaps some adventure? Personally I'll just settle with some good times with some good friends and the weekend at the carnival. At least I'm back in my own little corner of the internet.

Apologies

Hey guys, just writing to say that I haven't written in awhile. Just need to tell you I'm trying to break the writing fast. Recently school has been death and is still crushing me. Luckily, my school gives the whole week of for Thanksgiving. So close but so far. All right. Farewell.

Review: "Gas-s-s-s"

My mother and I are avid fans of On Demand, especially the random movies that they post. We've started this tradition by watching the old 1970's movie, "Taking of Pelham 123". Our second movie was "Topkapi" or something along those lines from the 50's. So, our next random movie is called "Gas-s-s-s" from the 1970's. I'm sure it has historic references, but they probably skipped my generation. The story seems to be umm.... er, maybe I should start "The plot line is fueled by"... All right, let's just get down to this. The story is drug driven. At times I'm so confused that I felt like I've passed out. The plot follows random teenagers in a world where all adults (or people over 25) died from a gas leak. The movie is rated "R" and that's for a good reason. There are so many awkward sensual scenes and general craziness. Still though, the story has... umm... beautiful scenery? Actually that is pretty true. The story is set in Texas and the characters journey to New Mexico (I believe) later on. The background is free and lonesome and the characters are seen doing the oddest things at them (Riding golf carts, flying around, sitting in a giant plane.) The characters themselves are.... Spontaneous. They come and go as they please in their ultimate mission to find happiness... I think. Some highlights of the movie? Odd characters, interesting scenery, some references, crazy plotline, and Edgar Allen Poe on a motorcycle. Yah, I don't know either. Overall, interesting. I just need to let the confusion fade away.
